Travel of expectant mothers

Expectant mothers can be accepted on board with presentation of the following documents:

  • After the 28th week of pregnancy (until the end of the 32nd week of pregnancy) – it is mandatory to present a medical certificate stamped and signed by the doctor, which states clearly fitness for travel. This certificate, issued not earlier than 72 hours before flight, shall be presented at the check-in.
  • From the end of the 32nd week till the end of the 35th week of pregnancy and in cases of complicated pregnancy – is mandatory to present a medical certificate stamped and signed by the doctor, stating clearly fitness for travel. Additonally, Air Moldova requires a MEDIF form to be filled by the doctor and confirmed by the company’s doctor.
  • Expectant mothers can only be accepted on board before the end of the 35th week of pregnancy in cases of uncomplicated pregnancy and by complying with the above rules.
  • NOTE: MEDIF form must be presented at least 72 hours before the date of departure. The form can be requested to any Air Moldova office and, once filled-in, should be sent to: medservice@airmoldova.md
